The ability to play video games, now seen as an almost universal pastime, can help improve the mental health of disabled people who otherwise could not play them.

SpecialEffect is a charity based in the United Kingdom that specializes in helping physically disabled people, specifically children, play video games. The organization works globally with developers to create specialized game control devices as well as making games more accessible—this includes controllers using inputs from any part of the body that can move, such as small toe movements or the player's gaze.

Donations will be distributed to non-profits roughly six weeks after the month end of when the points were donated. Contributions to nonprofit organizations that are undeliverable will be given to a nonprofit of Microsoft’s choosing on your behalf. This could happen if the nonprofit no longer meets the participation criteria.
