Our role is to serve as a catalyst between the United States funders and The Salvation Army around the world. We provide technical assistance and rigorous financial oversight to projects, from inception to completion in key focus sectors. The Salvation Army World Service Office (SAWSO) serves as a dedicated resource committed to responding to the global interests of The Salvation Army USA by: • Developing sustainable solutions to poverty, disease, and despair in global communities. • Cultivating increased organizational capacity within Salvation Army units worldwide. • Introducing sustainability models that grow financial independence. • Demonstrating an empowering culture of grace and trust towards everyone we serve. Our projects emphasize local ownership and community involvement as keys for lasting success. In all of our work, we employ a holistic approach to meet the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of those served. With a presence in 131 countries, The Salvation Army’s global footprint is SAWSO’s map for engagement.
Microsoft partners with Benevity to facilitate its donations. Your points redemption activity will be deducted from your account immediately. Within six weeks after the end of the month in which you redeem your points, Microsoft will make a cash donation based on your redemption to a donor-advised fund at the Benevity UK Online Giving Foundation (OGF), with a recommendation that they make a corresponding grant to your selected nonprofit organization. OGF will take exclusive legal control of Microsoft's donation on your behalf. Donation redemptions are non-refundable. If your chosen nonprofit is not able to receive the donation (for example, if it no longer meets the participation criteria), or if the donation is otherwise undeliverable, the cash donation will be redirected to a nonprofit of Microsoft's choosing. Non-profits are not endorsed by Microsoft.
