SixDegrees.org is a national 501(c)(3) public charity founded by actor and philanthropist Kevin Bacon, rooted in the belief that we are all connected and that every one of us has the power to make a difference. By harnessing the strength of human connection, SixDegrees.org amplifies the work of grassroots nonprofits, mobilizes communities into action, and transforms everyday people into agents of meaningful change. We prioritize partnerships with U.S.-based organizations with annual revenues under $3 million, ensuring our support reaches the communities that need it most. From corporate employee engagement to national storytelling campaigns, our work bridges the gap between purpose and impact. Our Programs: Building Kits by Kevin Bacon (BKxKB) BKxKB brings people together to assemble essential resource kits for neighbors in need. Each kit is customized with nonprofit network partners and includes personal hygiene items, socks, a journal, and a handwritten note of encouragement. In honor of the 40th anniversary of Kevin Bacon's film "Footloose," SixDegrees.org surpassed its goal of distributing 40,000 kits to individuals across all 50 states. Through BKxKB, hundreds of thousands of dollars in resources flow directly to local organizations while amplifying their stories and elevating their work. causEvolve causEvolve is SixDegrees.org's storytelling and content creation program. We partner with leading organizations, including Warner Brothers, iHeartMedia, and the ACLU, to craft compelling narratives that capture attention and inspire action on behalf of grassroots changemakers. Degree Shift Degree Shift unites multiple partners and catalysts around a common cause, curating convener campaigns that maximize collective impact at the local, regional, and national level. Ruth's Room In loving memory of Ruth Bacon, mother of our founder, Ruth's Room transforms underutilized spaces across the country into purpose-driven hubs for connection, kindness, and community change. Purpose, Produced In partnership with Advertising Week, Purpose, Produced pairs select grassroots nonprofits with top creative agencies to develop full-scale national awareness campaigns, giving organizations the visibility that is truly transformational. Every dollar donated to SixDegrees.org fuels programs that connect communities, uplift overlooked voices, and prove that we are never more than one degree away from making a real difference. Led by CEO and Executive Director Stacy Huston, SixDegrees.Org centers its efforts on core areas of focus: Youth Empowerment, Equality and Justice, Sustainability and emergent issues that are vital to our communities. The organization’s remarkable achievements include winning Shorty Awards, an Anthem Award, 4 Telly Award's, and an impressive tally of 6 Webby Awards.
